Adding Pemlo by URL requires Developer mode. Availability depends on your ChatGPT account and workspace permissions.
Four steps to your first request
Enable Developer mode
To add Pemlo by its URL, enable Developer mode in ChatGPT Settings → Security and login on your computer.
Add Pemlo
Open Plugins, select + and name the connection Pemlo. Paste the connection address from this page, add the description and choose OAuth if asked.
Approve access
Sign in to Pemlo and review the requested access. You can also approve on your phone when offered.
Select Pemlo in a chat
Start a new chat, open +, search for Pemlo and select it.
Try it
Start with your businesses
Show my businesses in Pemlo.
Then ask for an invoice and its PDF. If more than one business matches, choose the one you want to use.
Need help with ChatGPT?
Already connected? Open Settings → Plugins → Pemlo → Refresh, then select Pemlo in a new chat.
Some accounts use Apps → Advanced settings for Developer mode and Apps → Create to add a connection. If these controls are missing, check your plan or workspace permissions.
If ChatGPT asks to create a downloadable file, allow it to attach your PDF.

Four steps to your first request
Open Connectors
On your computer, open Claude Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Add Pemlo
Name it Pemlo and paste the connection address from this page. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty.
Approve access
Select Connect, sign in to Pemlo and review the requested access.
Enable Pemlo in a chat
Open a chat, select + → Connectors and enable Pemlo.
Try it
Start with your businesses
Show my businesses in Pemlo.
Then ask for an invoice and its PDF. If more than one business matches, choose the one you want to use.
Need help with Claude?
Already connected? Open Settings → Connectors → Pemlo → More options → Refresh tools list.
If Add custom connector is unavailable, check your Claude plan or workspace permissions.
Claude may ask permission to use Pemlo or open a PDF download link. If the download link expires, ask for a fresh PDF.

Open MCPs
On your computer, open Cursor Customize → MCPs.
Add the configuration
Open the MCP configuration file, mcp.json. Add the Pemlo entry from the configuration on this page alongside any existing servers, then save.
Authenticate locally
Open Pemlo configuration, select Reload, then Authenticate under Local. Sign in to Pemlo and review access.
Start an Agent chat
Check that Pemlo is Connected, then enable it in an Agent chat on this computer.

Need help with Cursor?
Older versions use Settings → Tools & MCP. Keep existing servers when adding Pemlo to mcp.json.
Local and Cloud connections authenticate separately. Use Local for an Agent running on this computer. Cursor’s Agent usage limits can prevent requests even when Pemlo is Connected.
For a PDF, allow file access if Cursor asks, or use the download link in its response.

Four steps to your first request
Find MCP settings
On your computer, open your AI app’s settings for remote MCP servers.
Add Pemlo
Add a server named Pemlo. Choose Streamable HTTP and paste the connection address from this page.
Approve access
Choose OAuth, sign in to Pemlo and review the requested access. No manual token is needed.
Enable Pemlo in a chat
Save the connection and select Pemlo in a new chat.
Try it

Show my businesses in Pemlo.
Then ask for an invoice and its PDF. If more than one business matches, choose the one you want to use.
Need help with Other?
Your app needs remote MCP with Streamable HTTP and OAuth support. Check its official setup guide if it asks for different fields. Do not paste your Pemlo password into a token field.
PDF display varies by app. Use the attachment or download link returned with your invoice.
Connecting and viewing records do not require Pemlo Pro. Creating invoices uses Pro or document credits. Your AI app has its own plan, permissions and usage limits.

A few things before you start
What is MCP?
MCP is the connection standard that lets your AI app use Pemlo’s tools. Add the address once, sign in, and ask in ordinary language. You do not need to write code.
How do I get the finished PDF?
Ask for an invoice or estimate as you normally would. Pemlo returns the document and its PDF. Depending on your AI app, you’ll see a file attachment or a download link. Your app may ask permission to attach, save or open the file.
If a download link expires, ask for a fresh PDF of the same document. You do not need to create another invoice.
What if my sign-in link or QR code expires?
Start Connect again in your AI app and follow the new sign-in link. You can sign in in the browser, scan the new QR code with your phone, or open Pemlo when that option is offered.
Who controls access to my business?
You sign in to Pemlo and review the access being requested. Your AI app may also ask you to approve actions such as creating a document. You can review and disconnect AI connections from Pemlo on your phone.
Creating a document does not send it to your customer. Sharing is a separate request.
Does ChatGPT need Developer mode?
Yes, for the manual connection by URL described here. Connecting an available, published app from ChatGPT’s directory uses its Connect flow instead. Account and workspace policies can affect both options.
